with Robyn Morris
Formally trained in the soft furnishing industry she ran a bespoke workroom for 25 years supplying custom made soft furnishings to decorators and shops.
She was a regular creative contributor to the Women’s Weekly Handmade Magazine, and also wrote the instruction and supplied sample material for the Women’s Weekly Soft Furnishing book.
Introduced to weaving by her sister one afternoon in her home, she was fascinated that making something so functional using just hands and found grasses. The meditative act of gathering and drying the grasses then weaving them into shape is such a humbling experience.
Her ethos: what has come from the earth, returns to the earth once discarded, leaving no footprint.
